Finally...
Something for us BUCKAROO BABYBOOMERS!
Sons of the Pioneers
Legends of Western Music.
The first, the original, the best!
The Sons of the Pioneers are members of:
The Country Music Hall of Fame
The Western Music Hall of Fame
The Cowboy Hall of Fame
The Texas Swing Hall of Fame
They have a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Let's go back to a time when music was King - King of the Cowboys - that is! The Sons of the Pioneers started back in 1934 by Tim Spencer, Bob Nolan and Leonard Slye (Roy Rogers). To some folks, the name doesn't ring a bell, but the songs do:
"Cool Water"
"Tumbling Tumbleweeds"
"Ghost Riders in the Sky"
"Room Full of Roses"
American Cowboy Magazine considers today's generation of the group to be "...the world's premiere cowboy singing group." Their original 6 part harmonies are hauntingly beautiful, and their twin fiddlers are magic! This band and members of this generation embrace their musical heritage and honour it. See you at the show!
